I need a footstool - Not yet created

I need a footstool/pallet - but not for my feet

Today I started out on a task. First I gathered a bucket, a brush, and two wipers. I searched long and hard before I found a spray bottle of special cleaning agent, which I knew I had placed somewhere. Found a few old daily papers to cover parts of the floor, so not to create nasty non-removable spots.
Everything ready for the big cleaning task!

It was now I discovered that I'm not 20 years anymore. Down on my knees, ouch it hurt! Getting up wasn't easy, but I had to get up on my feet and perform the squat position. Got hold of the spray cleaner, opened the door to the oven, and started to spray. Bent and turned my body to be able to spray the upper part of the oven. Felt the pain in my back and neck. Not possible to work this way.
After lots of struggle, pain and not so nice words - I finally finished the cleaning task. But an idea was born.
I NEED A FOOTSTOOL - NOT FOR THE FEET - BUT TO PLACE MY KNEES ON!

Shorten the legs, put a wheel on each leg, make bevel to place the knees into and add a 10 cm thick cushion on top of it! To the right - cut a hole for the bucket, and some hooks for brush and wipers.

This should save my knees…

If I can get somebody to manufacture such a stool - I'll order several and place them onto the Compumatrix
Marketplace and sell them!

On the other hand - why not rebuild the kitchen and replace the oven with one built in where I can clean it standing up on my feet. Or as a final solution - enroll a chief to make all the meals, and a cleaning squad to take care of cleaning! Selling the stool could make that possible. Selling the Compumatrix products - VPCs or stools will make anything possible.

Do you feel self-confident

There is a lot of things that can lower one's self-confidence. Mostly it is our thoughts that are often locked in on what has happened in the past. You may not realize it but often we act on experience from our childhood - how we were treated as a child, in school, in your family, by your relatives. To always refer to what have happened in the past, to only act according to what you think others expect from you, without consideration of what your own inner voice tells you - can be self-destructive unless you know your abilities and skills and can rely on who you really are.

On the other hand - if you are too self-confident, and always think you are doing the right thing without ever listen to others opinions; don't learn from eventual mistakes (and yes - we all make mistakes); exaggerate your skills and competences at all occasions - can be self-destructive too because you are acting like a racing car with damaged brakes. Thus, you'll inevitably crash every now and then, and be as surprised every time.

So how can you build your confidence in a gradual and safe manner?

First you have to recognize which good qualities you have. You must focus on what you are good at, write it down, develop such things and try to practice them every day.  Put away your weaknesses in a locked room, and don't dwell on them. Try to develop a positive attitude and know that a smile makes you look very confident!

Who would you want to be?

Think of a person that you admire. Somebody you would like to be! Somebody successful, who seem to have achieved their goals in life. Picture yourself as the person you would really want to be. Start being committed to take responsibility for building your self-confidence, and do it step by step. Keep your positive attitude also when you experience a setback, because with a positive attitude, you will learn something and this new knowledge is more valuable than a smooth journey when everything goes your way.

Is self-esteem the same as self-confidence?

No, they are not the same thing, but often linked together. Confidence describes our feelings about how good we are at performing tasks and functions, while self-esteem describes our feelings about looks, thoughts, if we feel worthy and valued.

Even though low self-confidence and low self-esteem seem to be linked together, a person with high self-esteem can still have a low confidence.

Reward yourself

Every time you have successfully stepped up a level of self-confidence, praise yourself, and reward yourself! Look at yourself in a mirror and tell yourself "I did it!" I'm going to be successful! But remember, there will be setbacks so you have to constantly work on it.

Other people will sense a difference in you. They will know if you believe in yourself, and if you believe in what you are doing.
There is a ton of information on this subject, on Internet, in E-books, at your local library. You can find webinars, free for everyone, on Internet if you want more practical advice and tips.
